The MinimalRome "Urbi et Orbi" franchise debuts in 2006, juxtaposing Rome-based producers to others around the globe ("urbi et orbi" can be translated as "to the city and to the world") featuring -- in time, amongst others -- Legowelt, Rude 66, Mick Wills, Andrea Benedetti, Ra-X, Polysick, The Exaltics. This fourth chapter delivers a vinyl EP compilation with monster electro tracks by Teslasonic, Plant43, Cosmic Force and Microthol, plus a couple of synthorama joints by Heinrich Dressel and Sonobe.

"QUINZE" -"fifteen" in Catalan- is the title of the new release from Barcelona’s Lapsus Records. Lapsus celebrates its fifteenth anniversary with the launch of a new compilation comprised of today’s most compelling, experimental and ground-breaking electronic music. Fifteen unreleased songs from artists that best define the Lapsus sound: Attraktta, Chevel, Gábor Lázár, Gacha Bakradze, Johanna Knutsson, Karen Gwyer, Leif, Machine Woman, Patricia, Pye Corner Audio, RRUCCULLA, Steve Hauschildt, Telefon Tel Aviv, The Belgium and Ylia.
While volume two of Dat Pressure's Rip N Run may have already hit the streets, now they're back-pedalling to volume one - OCD garage heads rejoice. As ever label boss Noodles is on hand with more essential wares from the vaults, this time enlisting the mighty Dub Child as a partner in crime. These jams veer towards the breakstep end of the garage spectrum, all boom bap drums and stuttered grooves, not least on the massive but spacious "We Go." "Zip It Up" packs in plenty of rootsy dub tones and soul vocal licks to match the skittering drums, and "Smoking Circles" gets into an almost techy strain of broken beat honed for serious dancefloor consumption. Just hold tight for the bass drop on that last one - it's a monster.DPR Recordings · Groovechronicles Zip It Up Rip n Run vol 1
