Banoffee Pies RecordsBlack Label Series continues with a special solo EP from label favourite Len Lewis who steps up with a selection of 4 previously unreleased productions from the mid 2000's. Already a regular on the infamous UK Tech House Label Swag Records, and a deep back catalogue of trusted DJ gems spanning back to the 90's, we were very excited to welcome him on board the label. The A side offers two Sub heavy Breakbeat weapons with "Get On It" and a jump into the Sith world with "Darkside". The B side dips back into a 4x4 format with the swirling dance floor rhythm of "Tik Tok" and a playful and laid back house melody in "Projection Deep Dub", a track once approved by and handed to a member of the boy band Blue for a spin on Kiss 100. Make of that what you will to be honest. Much love. BP x
Throttling his focus into a number of studious and reflective releases in the last years, Anthony Linell's new EP breaks for a chaotic descent into a sinuous and muscular syntax to reveal some of his most refined yet ravenous works. Seamlessly arranged, each track finds a unique way of balancing syncopation to kindle unease at the peaks.
UK veteran The Dexorcist debuts on Traditions with his trademark hardcore & rave infused electro , 5 killer cuts for quirky dancefloors ...
Much deserved, remastered reissue of 'We Are I.E.' by Lennie De Ice, arguably the first proto jungle tune, now coming correct with fresh remixes from Solo & Blades alongside Borai, as well as the sought-after Horsepower Productions remix.Released in 1991 on I.E. Records, an imprint based out of De Underground Records, a store in London's Forest Gate run by Mike De Underground alongside Uncle 22 and Randall, it famously featured elements that paved the way for the Jungle sound. Centered around the Amen break, ragga style basslines, vinyl spinbacks and gun shot samples, it stood out as something different back in ’91, A certified classic, rinsed on dancefloors everywhere and anywhere, from back in the day to the present.Solo & Blades are the first of the new versions, hitting hard with a heavyweight jungle remix, as Borai steps up with a beefy bassline rework. Horsepower Productions killer and sought after remix rounds off the package.
Japanese legendary experimental pop duo “Dip In The Pool” comes back with a brand new song. This time they made a cover version of their beloved larry heard’s house classic “What About This Love”.Their original version is oriental synth pop style and UK based deep house new talent chaos in The CBD made a more electronic house version.
Transversales Disques is very glad to announce the release of the never released before piece Un Monde Lacéré by electroacoustic music pioneer Pierre Henry. This piece is a special tribute to Jacques Villeglé and his work. It is the world opening performance of this opus, recorded in studio Son/Ré.Pierre Henry was born in 1927 In Paris. He started studying music as early as the age of seven. In 1944, guided by Olivier Messiaen, he imagined and started composing music for the future. His meeting with Pierre Schaeffer was crucial for his creation. Inventing new technical composition processes which in time have become widely used on a large scale, he has constantly given this music a far reaching power no one expected at the start. He has also invented his own sound, as easily distinguishable as the sound of the most famous jazz musician.
