It’s been five years since Khaliphonic #8, the various artists collection, “Sounds From The Well: Collection One.” Eight releases later we’re finally able to bring you Khaliphonic 16, “Sounds from the Well: Collection Two,” a next set of outer dubwise from across the diaspora of bass-heavy sound system music. While Collection One focused on a kind of Mediterranean and Near-Eastern dubwise topography, Collection Two explores psychological and emotional spaces instead, with a focus on experimentation and a mood that is decidedly deep and dark.

A passion project from two really great friends... the packaging is as much part of the experience as the music and story behind this album. Limited run of 50 copies cut in house by Personal Touch.From the label:Unifying form and function and the dissolution of excess. The seamless integration of materials sourced within the setting, finding freedom within constraint, and designed for the masses. Usonian Automatic was recorded in a home built upon Frank Lloyd Wright’s principles, conceived and designed by his former student, James W. Strutt. Life in such a house exacts the instinct to harmonize its wood, brick, and geometry with the emanating electric sound of a speaker. Marrying the guitars to vinyl archived, cut, and laced into the available frequencies expresses our interpretation of the listening experience, revolving around the hearth. These are the Usonian fundamentals we have borrowed and built upon.
