Voyage de TapiocaTapioca is a Belgian duo made of rapper / lyricist Alessandro “Le Tagarel” Vlerick and producer & composer Simon “SiKa” Carlier, who draw inspiration from rap, jazz, MPB and funk from the 70's and 80's. They symbolize a meeting of various musical currents which finds its origin in a common passion: the Brazilian culture and its wholly unique musical blend. While the sound of the Belgian binomial is undeniably influenced by classical Brazilian musicians such as Marcos Valle, Simonal and Emilio Santiago or contemporary artists such as Anderson Paak., Mndsgn or D'Angelo, Tapioca breaks through the sonic clutter by proposing its own musical identity with the release of “Voyage,” courtesy of Jakarta Records’ indelible “Dubplates” Series.

Libreville Records presents Totāl Cuevas, a seminal compilation album of legendary DJ Guy Cuevas's own music.Guy Cuevas is a French-Cuban writer, musician, and DJ, pioneer of the art of modern DJing. A key figure on the Paris night scene, Guy Cuevas gained a cult status as the resident DJ of the mythical nightclub Le Palace, gathering thousands of people every night under his booth, shepherding them with his music towards euphoria. He also collaborated with a great number of Fashion brands, such as Yves Saint Laurent, Kenzo, Dior, Hermès and many more.

The impossibly cool 1973 album What's Going On from Late, Great Japanese Funk & Jazz Don Takehiro Honda which swings through jazz orchestral renditions of American R&B and Funk Classics like Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On,"Otis Redding's "Sitting On The Dock of the Bay," and James Brown's "Ain't It Funky Now" turning them into the most Down Home, Grits 'N' Gravy Grooviest Versions and sounding like they were recorded at the studio of the band that taught the Memphis Rhythm Sections all they ever were gonna need to to know.As well as the aforementioned tracks the album also iconic funk/soul gems from the Impressions (Check-Out Your Mind) & Soul Jazz covers from Eddie Harris (Sham Time), The Crusaders (Greasy Spoon) and a Pacific Soul Jazz Classic in "Ain't Tell You A Good Way But" which was composed by Takehiro Honda.Original copies regularly change hands for eyewatering sums and the album is seen as a much loved classic of it's era.
