The River Widens by The Mole on Circus Company.

One of our all-time favourite artists and extended Circus Company member The Mole returns to the label for a proper presentation of his album The River Widens. Originally a limited, cassette-only release via fellow Canadian Eddie C’s Red Motorbike, we are proud to offer this album in its full glory for the first time on all formats.

Never one to shy away from synth deep dives, or raw sample flip collaging, this collection of 21 works checks all the boxes. Ambient trippers to straight up neck-snapping instrumental beats. Not forgetting tastes of the more uptempo, highly-assured and hypnotic dance floor feels the world has come to love The Mole for. Moments of casual chillin are interspersed with effortless, emotive angles, some evoking the charm of his Little Sunshine release for us in 2017.

WRWTFWW Records is ecstatic to announce the first ever best-of compilation of Soichi Terada’s amazing project OMODAKA. including 14 songs never released on vinyl before.Initiated in 2001 while trying to create a "boat racing song", the OMODAKA project features sublime music by veteran electronic/house/jungle/video game music producer/DJ Soichi Terada and the vocals of Japanese folk min'yo & enka singer Akiko Kanazawa for a never-heard-before colorful blend of retro game 8bit/chiptune sounds and traditional Japanese music with wet electro rhythms, joyful 90s house grooves, and slick downtempo vibes. Feel-good, sexy, and fun, Terada’s project brings forth one of the most unique sounds in recent memory. The smile-inducing sonic adventure is packed with irresistible hits and a good dose of dancefloor-ready gems: a well deserved delivery of good times for 2022 and beyond!Tokyo born genius Soichi Terada has built an impressive career in different music genres. He co-founded respected label Far East Recording with Shinchiro Yokata, composed the soundtrack for cult video game series Ape Escape, released tons of amazing house music records (some included in the beautiful compilation Sounds from the Far East released by Rush Hour in 2015), and has been a celebrated world-touring DJ.
Next up for the 7th installment Domesticated, we have 5 mechanical club tools from Ukraine-based Kiddmisha. Varying in style, and groove & playing with syncopation, and hypnotics, the tracks cast a druglike mood onto the floor. Essential wax for DJs who are often playing long sets, this record can act as a glue that binds and solidifies any masterful set. Massive tip for a more discerning listener!
If one could summarize the life of DJ Rambo in 4 tracks it would be with this EP, from dubbed out Euro Dance to Merengue - another mistake release on Poppers.Dance floor tool release by supposedly star-on-the-rise disc jockey – DJ Rambo. We have no idea who this person is, but one could guess this is one way to find out. Some rather heated opinions on the track list, but politics apart, A1 features a downtempo chugger yet unconventionally dubbed out version of what sounds like an early German Euro House production. A2 shifts gears with Italo tinted sexy house beats. On the flip side 90's Merengue sounds with ravey samples and dubbed out soap opera esque vocals. Lastly, a climatic commentator recording of what seems to be a football match between Brazil and Argentina.
Bristol-based imprint Sex Tapes From Mars third release comes via JATA, presenting a reissue of his highly sought after, 1991 dance relic. Presented are three gritty, pulsing exercises in delayed gratification that have all the more impact when they finally hit top gear. The A1, ‘Stutter I’ manages deep introspection while still holding on to the part of the night that makes your head rush and your heart flutter. It comprises four sublimely sewn, yet prominently different movements, climaxing in beating, bumpy bliss. On the flip, the sense of strangely balanced synthesis makes ‘Midstate’ a remarkable sonic quandary. Its uptempo synth melody is joined with spacey stabs, and deep, unnerving swells.“Stutter II,” meanwhile, centers on trippy, bright-eyed acid, lifted by a surprisingly tight flex of pummelling kicks, jagged hi-hats and pure, swelling pads. It’s a psychedelic symphony of earnest rhythms and bass, perfect for early-morning smoke and shadows. Each track on STFM03 has its own subtle but effective drama, sharing a masterclass in esoterically crafted noises.
