Somewhere somebody is dancing in black and white silence, crying to a thumping beat. The sound that is creeping up behind them is BeNe GeSSeRiT. The project of Belgian innovators and couple, Alain Neffe (who has been running cult label Insane Music for decades) and Nadine Bal, BeNe GeSSeRiT land equally between dance music, sound collage and digital séance. Beyond the countless alias' of the Neffe empire, Alain is credited to putting out bands such as Algebra Suicide, Merzbow, and others like those in his compilations, "Insane Music for Insane People".Featuring some songs fueled by an 80's dance floor sensibilty and others so far away and isolating they dare you to try to dance. Many of the tracks are so unrecognizable they don't register as songs, just flashes of sound accompanied by titles ripped right from the pages of a southern novel, and vocal performances just as haunting. Other GeSSeRiT releases have been previously released on Minimal wave, Cherry Red, and Stroom, but Domani Sounds proudly presents Fashion is a Dirty Word as their debut release, reissued for the first time since its initial release on Dead Mans Curve in 1987. The sounds on Fashion is a Dirty Word still as foreign and captivating as they were then. Like a strange land slide into an indistinguishable future past, gathered here as one.All music composed, arranged and performed byAlain Neffe and Nadine BalRestored and Remastered byAlain Neffe and Ryan PowerOriginally Released By Dead Mans Curve. 1987Album Art by Jack Tobias
For Majid Soula music is more than just entertainment. He considers himself an activist through music, and foremost a “chanteur engagé”, as he says of himself: “I am not a politician. If I can deal with art and culture it’s already a lot. Above all, I am an artist whose first concern is to present a quality artistic work in order to contribute, however modestly, to the development and enrichment of our cultural heritage. When I fight, for example, for the defense of the Berber culture, it is not by political spirit. It is a natural act. I am against violence wherever it comes from and I do not support injustice. If the essential freedoms were granted, the Algerian artists would have no reason to take on this burden and this mission. They could, like all other artists of the world, devote their talent to making people dream.

Second Ballet Mechanique re-issue from the Eevo Lute archives. Originally released in 1997, it was his second appearance on the legendary Eevo Lute imprint. The Borrenbergs 12 EP II marks Jeroen Borrenbergs return with three jams of 90s feeling electro and half-stepping techno that easily passed the test of time. First track 'Where's The DJ (Pissbreak Mix)' counts over 13 minutes of gritty acid electro, making a halfway transformation into a moody two-step mover. The perfect two-in-one track gives you all the time to go for a toilet break while still being in the mix ;). On the b-side the emotive side of Borrenbergs returns to the surface, with 'Vinyl Voyage' being a spooky bleep jam and 'Diamond Cut' presenting his trademark bassline energizers. Fully re-mastered 2021 edition.
EAS023 - IT - 2020The stars and their reflection on the sea still inspire Pellegrino and his live band Zodyaco. Their second LP 'Morphè' released on Early Sounds Recordings, is an ode to Naples as seen from Vesuvius. The ensemble that follows him through this musical journey has been enriched with new members for the continuous development of the label's distinctive Mediterranean sound; this marks a further step into the evolution of their Neapolitan melodic disco from the slopes of Vesuvius. The sound and aesthetic metamorphosis of this second release, which gives the title to the LP [ the greek word "Morphé" ] is inspired by the conflicting scenarios of the Neapolitan metropolis; always caught up between the never ending and frenetic flow of its narrow alleys and the soothing relief of the sea, with the night as the backdrop that is not able to light it up its inner depths.
