Wonderland / Running by Daniel Avery on Fabric Originals.

"I will never stop saying this: fabric means the world to me. After being entrusted to regularly warm up Room 1 at the very twilight of my career, I was offered the chance by our dearly departed brother Shaun Roberts to mix FABRICLIVE CD in 2012, long before a soul knew of my existence as an artist. It propelled me into the clubbing orbit as a DJ who was able to lean on leftfield sounds; the kind of opportunity that continues to make my head spin. After the release of my debut album Drone Logic, in 2014 the club asked me to curate my own night, specifying that it cover all corners of my musical sky. I called it Divided Love.

Today I am gassed to watch as another circle completes itself, ten years on, as Divided Love returns to fabric and, alongside it, a 12” released on fabric Originals. The two-tracker, as with every club record I ever make in fact, has Room 1 coursing through its veins. I know that room like the back of my hand and this is how the room sounds in my skull."

Million Dollar Ecstacy de Million Dollar EcstacyFor the first time in 28 years, Manufactured Recordings is proud to make this lost classic once again available to collectors and fans of the pioneering synthesized music of its time. Bottin brings us this juicy Artifact 4-tracker in super-limited-quantities. Dulce De Luna is an acid disco weapon with some sabor latino. Volver Al Campo is a psychedelic cosmic ritual chant (sounds like Adriano Celentano maxi-dosing mushrooms in the Italian countryside). El Caballero Oscuro serves as the main theme from John Carpenter's space-horror flick shot in the extraterrestrial jungle (only he didn't make that movie, yet) - Finally, we get a slab of low-hip high-energy madness for hardcore Italo heads (those who want the hypnotic synth machinery, not the demented vocals).
Next up for the 7th installment Domesticated, we have 5 mechanical club tools from Ukraine-based Kiddmisha. Varying in style, and groove & playing with syncopation, and hypnotics, the tracks cast a druglike mood onto the floor. Essential wax for DJs who are often playing long sets, this record can act as a glue that binds and solidifies any masterful set. Massive tip for a more discerning listener!
The roots of Leo Anibaldi's sound. “Pro Pop” (2023) is his first instrumental hip hop album, or an incredible mix of different musical genres, always among his favorite listens, as well as a constant source of inspiration during his 'early life' as an electronic producer. The 'second' starts now. Over the months of the pandemic, the historic Italian artist has literally centrifuged blues, funk, jazz, r 'n' b and, of course, hip hop sounds within eleven brand new songs. The idea behind the project entrusted to Neo Life Records is simple: create music that can be enjoyed by everyone and listened to in company in all circumstances. A choice that also coincides with an 'old school' recording technique with old 60s microphones and tape recorders in order to obtain an apparently 'dated' sound with a melancholy background. “Pro Pop” thus embodies a different style than the noisy glories of a rave past, revealing his desire to get back into the game once more and, above all, to continue experimenting. After branding the history of made in Italy techno, experimenting with acid, breakbeat and house sounds, here is a more intimate Leo Anibaldi and, as always, against the tide.
