Glimmers by Eris on Plexus 4.

ERIS inaugurates the Plexus 4 label with the stylish psychedelic club sounds of ‘Glimmers’. The Sardinian-Croatian duo consisting of Enrica Falqui and Dea Dvornik drops their next EP this June. ERIS, AKA Enrica Falqui and Dea Dvornik, mint the Plexus 4 label with the ‘Glimmers’ EP. Kicking off the record, ‘Kundalini Rising’ is the perfect balance between driving house kicks and warped synth work—it is both physical and cerebral, packed with charming sonic details and occult melodies. ‘Serpente’ picks up the pace with punchy percussive house drums and more curiously meandering lead synths that show ERIS’ expert mastery of their studio gear. Continuing ERIS’ ‘Glimmers’ EP on Plexus 4, the bouncy ‘Anticipation’ boasts scintillating, high-speed drum patterns overlaid with smudged pads and bouncing synth phrases, bringing plenty of futuristic feel to the classically inclined 909s. Superb closer ‘Game Over’ is a silky electro workout with nods to Detroit and again is defined by characterful, riding sequences that dart around the mix. Plexus 4 is a new label founded by Enrica Falqui and Tunello, the owner of the online Out Of Office record store, and is a platform dedicated to artistic innovation and experimentation driven by collaborative efforts. For its first release, they drop ‘Glimmers’ by label co-owner Falqui’s ERIS. After unexpectedly meeting in a Berlin club, Enrica and Dea’s spontaneous jam sessions evolved into collaborative studio work that draws on their differing personalities and backgrounds. Their music mixes acid, techno, and house and has found a home on the likes of Warning, 20/20 Vision and DJ Masda’s CABARET Recordings.

030303 co-founder Freek Fabricius made this record in honour of his friend Floris Bovee who passed away early in 2020. For the EP, Freek took some of Floris' musical ideas and reworked them - together with samples of Floris' voice - into four excellent mid-tempo tracks for the emotional dance floor. Expect dense and organic harmonies on this record, which really feels like a mini album and is among some of the most heartfelt and poetic electronic music we have come across as of late.
Transversales proudly presents the first LP reissue of “Les granges brûlées”, original soundtrack written and performed by Jean-Michel Jarre shortly after his work experience at G.R.M (Groupe de Recherches Musicales). Probably one the first ever electronic music score, recorded with very scanty means: a VCS3 synthesizer, a Farsifa organ and three synchronized Revox tape recorders. Director Jean Chapot, who understood immediately the interest in the gap between this hyper classical rural thriller and this groundbreaking music, let Jarre absolutely free to compose. Built up around several melodic leitmotifs, the score of “Les granges brûlées” allowed Jarre to pursue his personal research: to bridge the gap between experimental music and pop music. This deluxe reissue also contains the bonus track “Happiness Is a Sad Song” composed during Jarre's time at the G.R.M.“Aphex Twin told me once that the original soundtrack of “Les granges brûlées” was one of his favorite records” Jean-Michel Jarre
