Heavenly Ethiopiques - Best Of Ethiopiques Series various artists on Heavenly Sweetness.

Best off from the now classic Ethiopiques series. Francis Falcetto, the founder of the series (already 28 Cds available) and THE specialist of Ethiopian music selects, in his view, the best tracks of the series !

He opened his large collection of pictures, vinyl and memorabilia to make the artwork for this double LP gatefold release.

The perfect introduction to the world of Ethiopian music but the specialists will also discover some rare and unknown tracks and artists.

First ever re-release of ‘Asew Watchman’ and ‘Mabre Agu’, two phenomenal pieces of Ghanaian boogie/burger highlife from Wilson Boateng's sought-after 1988 record 'Highlife Rock'!
To celebrate BBE's 20th anniversary, this selection of "Rock, Funk, Soul, Jazz & Soundtrack Breaks For Modern Living" was originally released in 2009 and finally repressed.
ABT085 - CA - 2020Life Is Crazy, the accurately titled new record from Sean Nicholas Savage, is unlike anything we’ve heard from the cult balladeer. No drums or bass on the album, the accompaniment consists strictly of pure piano and lush strings, leaving Savage’s songwriting bare to the listener like never before.“For a fresh direction here, i've attempted to reduce the focus to just songwriting and singing. particularly contemplative ballads, which through the years remain closest to my heart. i've aimed for a vocal spirit and energy that closely resembles my live performance, which is an integral part of my identity as an artist not always represented in my recorded work.”
Recorded when Johnny Walker was touring Worldwide with Veteran Jazz Star Lionel Hampton in 1982 and originally released on his own Private Press label: Walk On Productions. This neglected underground classic LP has been off the radar since then except for the appearance of "Dipping" on the Kev Beadle ‎– Private Collection (Independent Jazz Sounds From The Seventies And Eighties) compilation on BBE Records.Almost unknown and unjustly negected, it's a funk drenched jazz journey with some crunchy fat beats laid down by the excellent rhythm section complementing Johnny Walkers cool horn stylings. Reminiscent of the albums of that early Jazz Dance era by Tom Browne and Rahmlee but with less of a commercial edge and wholly instrumental this is Funky Jazz that has not dated and sounds like it was fresh out of the studio in 2022.
