Four new tracks by Sierra Romeo, the perhaps lesser known pseudonym of Stefan Robbers, focussing on ambient, downtempo and experimental electronica works. The legendary Dutch producer, known for his releases on Djax-Up-Beats, Planet E and his own Eevo Lute Muzique, revitalises the moniker to present four beautiful electronica pieces on the Delsin Eevo Lute series, that also remind of his beautiful Florence tracks.

I can remember literally bolting across a busy warehouse party in the early 90’s (I think it was actually DIY in Gloucester?) afterhearing a record come on which immediately stood out to me, hadn’t heard it before…. A clear 303 single note bassline/hook with sublime strings and undeniable flavours of Detroit and Chicago in the drums and vibe. I needed to know what it was!!That record was “Northern Lights” by Caucasian Boy (AKA Crispin J Glover and David Jenkins, AKA DJ Shakra), and I have honestly been playing it ever since. Fast forward 28 years, and here we are releasing their new acid house monster, the Remote Control EP.

When « Gault » pummels big beat remains against an industrial frame, « Clag » vibrates from breaks resonating of voices and echoes. One hits, the other flees, both extend in twin yet singular artifacts. The track « Noma » comes at last as an attempt to bind both sides in this narrow place in between two dark spaces. A Strange Wedding re-imagines this bridge as an aerial cyberpunk movie sequence whereas Odopt sharpens its angles. Dare to penetrate this labyrinth bigger than it seems, you might wish to stay there longer than you think.

In 1993 two of the big guns in the rave scene came together and made some music. Aphrodite located the masters hidden on DAT tape and hooked up with Vinyl Fanatiks to finally make them available. Two raw, uncompromising early hardcore tracks created on an Amiga using analogue gear. This is the original sound of the infamous British rave scene as it morphed into what became hardcore and then jungle. 27 years later and they still shake a bass bin.
